Guests, creatives & organisers
What is Kultips?
Kultips lets guests tip the DJs, singers, dancers and performers at an event using a QR code.
Organisers set up the event and lineup. Creatives see every tip they receive, as it comes in.
How do I tip?
Scan the event QR code, choose a creative, pick an amount and add a note if you like.
You'll be taken to Yoco's secure checkout to pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Is there a minimum tip?
Tips start at R5 and can go up to R10 000.
You pay the amount you choose. If you like, you can also cover the Kultips fee so the creative gets your full tip.
Do I need an app?
No. Kultips works in your phone's browser.
Point your camera at the QR code and you'll see the lineup straight away.
How do creatives get paid?
Creatives see every tip they receive: we email them the amount, who sent it and their note as soon as Yoco confirms the payment.
Kultips then pays each creative what they're owed, minus the platform fee.
Is my card information safe?
Payments are processed by Yoco on their secure checkout page.
Kultips never sees or stores your card details.
